You can find below a few of my favorite kitchen tools! Regarding knives, my favorite is definitely the Shun’s Premier Chef Knife. I have been using it every day for the last 4 years and have never even had to get it sharpened yet. It’s perfect for all types of applications, from mincing garlic and shallots to slicing vegetables and cutting vegan meat, it’s incredibly versatile.

The Instant Pot and Staub Cocotte are two of my most used kitchen appliances. I use the Instant Pot to cook everything from rice, curries, or even to make tempeh and yogurt. The cocotte is perfect for Winter dishes like stews, baked beans, and soups, and will last a lifetime.

🍞 Pantry Staples

If you are eating gluten-free, white rice flour and almond flour are two staples that are often used together or in combination with other flours to create structure and texture in baked goods. Raw cashews are versatile as they can be used to make all types of cheeses, vegan cream cheese, ice cream, milk, pasta sauces, and so much more.

🧀 Cheese Making

If you are starting your journey towards vegan cheese-making, you will need a few tools and ingredients. A key ingredient is a mesophilic culture, which will allow your cheeses to ferment. I use this culture in all of my cheese recipes. It can be substituted with Acidophilus.

To process the cashews into a cream, you will need a powerful blender or food processor. The only other equipment you will need is springform pans, which will be used to shape the cashew cream into small wheels.

đŸ“· Photography Gear

If you are into photography or want to start your own food blog, you might wonder what camera and equipment to use. I personally shoot all of my photos using a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 coupled with a 50mm f/1.2L USM lens. While this model of camera is not available anymore, the Canon EOS Rebel T7 is a great alternative. You will get sharp photos with a deep depth of field compared to a point-and-shoot camera.

Regarding the lighting setup, I am currently using a Neewer 150W video light coupled with a rectangle softbox.
