About Me
Hi, I'm Thomas! I'm the blogger behind Full of Plants. I started this blog as my personal cookbook, I wanted a place where I could save and organize my recipes, while still being able to share them with people.
I currently live in France and I only eat plant-based foods, I don't consume any animal product.
Why I Went Vegan
Of course it hasn't always been this way, I used to consume meat, fish and dairy for most of my childhood. It wasn't until I felt sick of having acne covering all my face that things started to change. I had tried most of the acne treatments prescribed by my dermatologist with no results, some of them making things even worse, I did some research and found that some people were treating their acne just by changing their diet, no pills or face creams.
At the same time I was also having serious bloating problems, I discovered it was always happening when I was consuming dairy products like yogurt, and cow milk with my cereals. Right after stopping milk I felt instantly better.
It was not until I stopped ALL dairy product that my skin started to heal by itself. Yes, I admit that giving up cheese and ice cream may be a little bit difficult at first! In a matter of four weeks my skin started to become clearer, the scars I had for several months were disappearing and I was not having any new spots coming out.
As I was learning more and more about health, I gradually stopped eating meat, fish and finally eggs. A new world was opening to me where I could make delicious yet healthy meals using mostly vegetables, grains and fruits. I have more energy and feel way better than before.
