Bột Chiên (Vietnamese Fried Rice Cakes)

Bột chiên is a traditional Vietnamese dish that features crispy fried rice cakes with omelet, green onions, shredded green papaya, and pickles.

This is a unique dish that is packed with bold flavors! We highly recommend giving this vegan version a try!

Main ingredients: rice flour, tapioca starch, soy sauce, vinegar, chickpea flour, cornstarch, scallions, and green papaya (optional).

Make the batter. Then, steam it.

STEP 1

Cut the rice cake into rectangles and toss them with soy sauce.

STEP 2

Pan-fry the rice cakes until crispy and golden brown. Next, pour in the vegan egg.

STEP 3

Garnish with sautéed green onions, drizzle with the sauce, and top with grated green papaya, and Vietnamese pickles!
