  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Tahini Butter

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • optional: 2 tsp melted cocoa butter (adds a subtle white chocolate flavor)

Candied Pecans

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the pecans, maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to coat the pecans. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Roast for about 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the tahini, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and cocoa butter if using. At first, it will be very thin and will slightly thicken as you whisk.
  4. Slightly crush the roasted pecans and add it to the tahini butter. Stir to combine and transfer to a jar.
  5. Enjoy this salted tahini butter on toast, pancakes, crepes, or on top of oatmeal!
  6. The butter will keep for up to two weeks at room temperature.
